STORIES OF PITTSBURGH'S PAST

Formerly known as the "Pittsburgh Terminal Property" and then the "River Walk Corporate Centre, The Highline is a historic five building complex on Pittsburgh’s South Side just across the Monongahela River from the central business district. 
​
  • Designed by Charles Bickel in 1898 and constructed from 1904 to 1906, the property was built to consist of approximately 868,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. 
​
  • The building was conceived as a central point of connection between road, river and rail transport.
 
  • Once considered the largest, most efficient cargo warehouse between New York City and Chicago.
 
  • Listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 8, 2013. 


​Today, The Highline consists of approximately 486,683 square feet of office and retail space in conjunction with two full floors of integral parking garage.
