Originally constructed as “Pittsburgh Terminal Property”, The Highline is a historic five building complex on Pittsburgh’s South Side just across the Monongahela River from the central business district.
It was designed by Charles Bickel in 1898 and constructed from 1904 to 1906 to consist of approximately 868,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. The Building was conceived as a central point of connection between road, river and rail transport and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 8, 2013. Today, The Highline consists of approximately 486,683 square feet of office and retail space in conjunction with two full floors of integral parking garage. |
